Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Rosaiah will formally launch Rajiv Arogya Sree Medical Insurance for Working and Retired Journalists on 2nd October, 2009, Gandhi Jayanthi day at a function in Hyderabad at State Secretariat. The Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) General Secretary Mr. Y. Narender Reddy said in a statement that the Chief Minister would launch the programme by distributing Arogya Sree Cards to some senior journalists.
He said the delegation of the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists called on the Chief Minister Mr. Rosaiah and Mr. Pitani Satyanarayana, Arogya Sree Minister and requested them to launch the programme on the Gandhi Jayajnthi day. The Chief Minister and Minister agreed to union’s suggestion. It may be recalled that the departed Chief Minister Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy decided to extend the Rajiv Arogya Sree Medical insurance Scheme to all Working and Retired Journalists in the State irrespective of their income level.
