Hyderabad: The Indian Journalists Union (IJU) and Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) strongly condemns the attack on Mr. Zahed Ali Khan Editor, Sisasat and two other journalists, Mr. Mubashiruddin Ahuram and Mr. Akthar Moin by activists of MIM on Friday night at a function Hall. They went to the function Hall in the Old City of Hyderabad to attend the marriage of a journalist working for Siasat. 

It is unfortunate that a marriage function of a journalist was converted into a ground for political feuding and clashes between two groups leading to the attack on the Editor and two journalists. It is not the first time that the activists of MIM and its leaders targeted Mr. Zahed Ali Khan.

IJU and APUWJ leaders K. Srinivasa Reddy, D. Somasundar, Y.B. Narender Reddy called upon the leaders of the MIM to restrain their activists from attacking the journalists whose views are at variance with the policies of their Party. A feeling is prevalent that such incidents are taking place due to police inaction. They urged upon the police to immediately arrest the culprits who attacked the Editor and two other journalists and take stern action to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
